Vinyl Plank for the Way Venice Lives

Older homes here often have terrazzo or original tile over the slab, smaller rooms, and a lot of doorways — which means a lot of careful cuts, undercut jambs, and transitions. In these houses the layout plan matters: we align the planks so they run cleanly through door openings rather than leaving slivers at a threshold.

Being this close to the Gulf, beach sand is a daily reality. Sand is an abrasive, and it is what dulls a floor over time. A 20 mil wear layer with a ceramic-bead or aluminum-oxide enhanced finish handles it far better than budget plank, and a good mat inside each entry does the rest.

Golf and 55+ Communities

East of the island, communities such as Venetian Golf & River Club, Pelican Pointe, Plantation, Sawgrass, and the many neighborhoods along Jacaranda Boulevard and Center Road are full of well-kept homes from the 1990s and 2000s that are ready for a flooring update. A frequent request from these homeowners is a floor that is easier and safer to live on: no carpet edges or thick thresholds to catch a foot, a slight texture for traction, and a bit of cushion that is kinder to joints than ceramic tile. Working Around the Season

About half of our Venice customers are seasonal. Summer is the ideal window for installation — the home is empty, there is no rush, and you come back in the fall to a finished project. We coordinate with your home-watch company or a trusted neighbor, send progress photos, and make sure the air conditioning stays at a proper setting during and after the install so the floor remains within the manufacturer's temperature range.
