Three Decades on Florida Floors
Rock Solid LVP grew out of more than 30 years of hands-on flooring work in Southwest Florida homes. Over those years we watched what homeowners were asking for change. Carpet fell out of favor. Laminate had its moment and then failed in the humidity. And luxury vinyl plank went from a budget product to the floor nearly everyone wants — waterproof, comfortable, and convincing enough that guests ask what kind of wood it is.
So we built a service around it. About Rock Solid LVP, the important thing to know is that we treat vinyl plank as a craft rather than a quick flip. The material is forgiving, which tempts a lot of installers to skip the prep. We do not. A floor that is flat, dry, and properly laid out is a floor that stays locked together and looks right for years.
How We Work
Honest Assessments
We tell you what your floor needs and what it does not. If your slab is flat, we will not sell you leveling. If your terrazzo is worth saving, we will say so.
Prep Comes First
Moisture checks, grinding, patching, and leveling happen before a single plank is opened. It is the least visible part of the job and the most important.
Clear Written Pricing
Your estimate spells out removal, prep, installation, and trim. If something unexpected turns up under the old floor, we show you before doing anything.
Licensed & Insured
We carry the licensing and insurance a professional flooring installer should, and can provide certificates for condo associations and property managers.

Why a Specialist Beats a Generalist
Plenty of companies will install vinyl plank. Handymen do it between other jobs, big-box stores subcontract it to whoever is available that week, and general flooring outfits treat it as the easy work they squeeze in around tile and hardwood. The trouble is that luxury vinyl plank only looks easy. The planks click together quickly, so the temptation is to skip everything that happens before the first row goes down.
About Rock Solid LVP, the thing customers notice most is how much time we spend on the floor before we install anything. We check slab moisture, because most Southwest Florida homes sit on concrete with little or no vapor barrier beneath it. We run a straightedge across every room and mark the humps and dips, then grind and patch until the floor meets the manufacturer's flatness tolerance. We plan the layout so planks run true through doorways and do not end in thin slivers against a wall. None of that shows in a photo on day one. All of it shows in year five.
- Florida-specific know-how. Sun-exposed sliders, seasonal homes, canal-side slabs, and condo sound rules all change the right approach.
- One crew, start to finish. Removal, prep, installation, and trim are handled together, so nothing falls between trades.
- Product-neutral advice. We install what you buy or help you choose, and we will tell you honestly what we think of a sample.

- Laminate to LVP Replacement — Swollen or peeling laminate removed and replaced with waterproof vinyl plank that can actually handle Florida humidity.
