• Sun and heat at the sliders. South- and west-facing glass can drive floor surface temperatures very high. We recommend SPC rigid core products rated for higher temperatures in those rooms, maintain a full expansion gap at the slider track, and for the most exposed spaces suggest glue-down plank.

In a pool home, the path from the lanai door to the bathroom gets wet every day. Waterproof vinyl plank handles that traffic without complaint, and a textured surface gives more grip than polished tile. We seal the threshold edge at sliders and exterior doors so water that blows or drips in stays on top of the floor.

After Hurricane Ian

Ian's storm surge in September 2022 pushed water into thousands of Cape Coral homes, particularly in the southern part of the city near the Caloosahatchee River — the Yacht Club area, Cape Harbour, Tarpon Point, and the older southeast Cape. Years later, homeowners are still finishing repairs and upgrading temporary fixes.
